Portfolio Timber tracking system (MC-SNIFFS) Website: http://www.serfor.gob.pe Duration: 1.5 years Description: The general problem was to detect illegal timber logging in Amazonian areas of Peru, and create a system which would help track and analyze all logging process. MC-SNIFFS is designed to help the Peruvian government curb illegal timber logging, which, according to some estimates, accounts for about 80% of the timber exported annually from the country and constitutes a major threat to Peru’s environmental, economic, and cultural well-being. I have started my career with this gigantic project and have involved in all parts of designing the architecture of the platform. In result, working on project 1.5 years is created one huge platform which allows. * Make requests to the government for logging of concrete areas * Take approval notation for logging * Count how many trees exist in that area * Store all data about cut trees * Automated checkpoints for cut trees * Register the cut trees in sawmills * Store the target of cut trees(should be export or recreate in Peru) * Worker from government visually can see hole traffic of timber logging in different regions * Analyze data and make a decision for future These points describe the project very generally.
