We are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer

Merk Team specializes in developing custom software for large startups; we employ over 500 highly qualified and skilled specialists working on dozens of interesting projects. Our apps are used by 40 million people all over the world! Many our products have been featured on App Store and covered by TechCrunch, Engadget, and Gizmodo. Our sales offices are located in New York, Miami, and Atlanta, and we have development centers in Serbia, Armenia, and Kazakhstan.

Required Skills

• Linux Servers: Commercial experience with and deep understanding of Unix systems and network technology. 2+ years of hands-on experience managing and operating Linux servers.
• AWS: At least 2 years of experience with AWS services, including: ECS Fargate, RDS, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, S3, SNS, Cognito, CloudFront, and CloudWatch. Any AWS certification will be a plus.
• Databases: Experience with SQL (knowledge of PostgreSQL will be a plus) and NoSQL databases.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): 2+ years of experience with tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Containers: Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes (K8s), ECS or Nomad.
• CI/CD Tools: 1+ year of experience with GitHub Actions.
• Development and Operations Lifecycle: Strong understanding of software development, support processes, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD) methodologies.
• Monitoring and Logging: Experience in configuring and maintaining monitoring tools, logging systems, and alerting mechanisms.
• Scripting and Programming: At least 2 years of experience with Bash and Python.
• Language Proficiency: English language skills at B2 level or higher.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
